Yesterday morning Blanden got sick at school and quickly came down with a fever so, only two hours after dropping him off, Mommy picked him up and we came home together. He was still running a fever last night so we stayed home again today. He has a bad cough and runny nose now, but no fever, so he seems to be greatly improving, and hopefully he can go back to school tomorrow. This morning we watched about a half hour of Ratatouille -- Blanden's first movie ever! -- until he fell asleep. And this afternoon we went out for gelato. It's not all bad being home sick with Mommy. :)
Also, Blanden got a new pair of shoes: Crocs for the pool. Last weekend we were all set for swim lessons, with a new swimsuit and cover-up, until we realized he didn't have pool shoes to prevent germies from getting on his feet. Blanden loves his tennis shoes -- he sometimes likes to wear them even with his pajamas -- so he was a little skeptical of these at first. It helps that Mommy has a pair of Crocs too, so we spent some time today wearing our Crocs around the house together.
