Introducing ...

Organic Whole Grain Rice Cereal

We're proud to say that Blanden has made it a full six months on breastmilk alone, per the American Academy of Pediatrics recommendation. But now it seems it's finally time to introduce solid foods, so tonight was the big night. As you can see, he wasn't too fond of the organic whole grain rice cereal we so carefully selected for him. :) Of course, we weren't exactly surprised by his reaction. He might have actually swallowed a drop or two of the five or six spoonfuls we tried to give him, but we didn't want to force it. We'll try again tomorrow and over the next few days before we move on to adding other more interesting fare ...

Blanden, I am looking correctly at your new picture, that you are sitting up by yourself in your little green chair? And, was it just an accident that your parents had you wear that bib...because although I want to be a grand grammy, if momma and dad really tell us no about something, we really have to behave ourselves...otherwise, I might loose some of my grammy status! Give that cereal another try before you decide you don't like it, life is full of wonderful new surprises, just the feel of a spoon must seem strange to you, not to mention rice cereal instead of nursing with Mom....
