The Rockies!

Yesterday, Ed and I took the afternoon off to head to the Rockies game against the Dodgers with some of our friends. It's a bummer that the Rockies lost, but we still had a fantastic time -- and made it to the end, even with our toddlers in tow! And despite the ridiculously hot weather! It felt ten degrees hotter than the forecasted 80 degrees, so after Blanden and Sarah spent the first half of the game sharing Teddy Grahams and Goldfish snacks while clapping along with the crowd, Susan and I forewent our fantastic seats for the latter half to watch from above, in the much-needed relief of shade, leaving Ed with his friend down below, contentedly snapping pictures of Manny Ramirez. What a great way to spend a midweek summer's day!

Hi Little Sports Fan! Blanden, do you know that you have already been to more professional baseball games in your 14 1/2 months that grammy has been in her entire life! What fun for you, and the folks to share those outtings. And I see this time, not only did Momma and Dad have a friend but you did too! And, I could tell that you are playing with your sun screen tube, makes it easier for mom to have something for you to play with, when you are so happy with such litte things. And without reading all of moms comments, I could tell that it was hot at the game, becuase your hair is curling out from under your cap.
Just had a great chat with momma, she says you are happily playing in your crib, after a nice nap. It is a very rainy day here at our house, a nap sounds like a good idea.

Well, I really can't nap now, but must get back to work.

Love you sweetheart,
Grammy
