Summer Swim

We spent a couple hours this morning at a friend's neighborhood kiddie pool. We visited fairly often last summer, but Blanden's friend now has a newborn sibling herself so getting together this summer has been a little trickier. I love looking at photos from last year and seeing how much Blanden has grown -- what surprised me the most about today was how much shallower the water seemed!

Or at least that's one way to look at it. ;) The photos above and below are from last September 5, almost one year ago...

And here they are today, twice as old!

And twice as tall! (Not really, of course, but it kind of seems like it, looking back.)

The flowers behind are part of sprinkler park -- Blanden loved giggling while running through those with Mommy today too.

Susan and I spent a lot of time today jumping in and out of the water -- in to play with the tots, to swing them around, and play ring around the rosy; out to pop pacifiers back in, rock the carseats, and nurse the newborns. (Hence the very few and not-great photos.) But it was fun! I can only imagine what next summer will bring, with two little boys and two little girls splashing around together.
