Blanden's First Santa Photo

I happened to put Blanden in a little Christmas outfit today (I've got to dress him in candy-cane-striped pants now, while he's too young to protest! Meanwhile Ed just rolls his eyes at me...), so we decided this was a good afternoon to venture over to the mall to visit Santa. We waited in line for over an hour -- indeed, we did, and we knew the line was that long when we got into it -- but the wait was made enjoyable by the fact that we ran into some friends from music class whose baby is only three weeks younger than Blanden and we ended up standing next to each other.
Although you can't tell from the photo, Blanden greeted Santa with a huge smile, and parted with one too, we just couldn't get him to smile for the camera. Ah, well.
Ed says that with the new little one in our family -- or "the boy," as he refers to him :) -- he's gotten completely caught up in the holiday spirit this year.
Cheers!

Blanden, so what did you whisper in Santa's ear? I certainly hope that mom and dad were listening carefully so they can give grammy and papa some hints! When you mom was "little" she and Uncle Andrew would spend hours and hours marking up the JCPenny catelogue, just to be certain Santa knew what they wanted....wonder what will be your favorite way of writting a Christmas list a few years from now...
