Blueberry Pancakes!

Last weekend we bought a new range, which came with a griddle for the stove top. Ed enjoys being the family's head chef (whereas most of the time I specialize in being Ed's sous chef and the family baker), so the new appliance gave Ed a good excuse to make another fun food for Blanden to try: blueberry pancakes! As you can see, they were a big hit!

Ed's perfect pancakes on the griddle.
Blanden's first few bites ...

nice and neat.

And the mess grows!

And a BIG mess! Blanden's hands are now stained blue, as are mine and Ed's, and Blanden's booster seat is now in the wash. (And Ella and Belle say, "Wow, this keeps getting better and better!") But of course it was well worth it. This is the only kind of cake Blanden has had so far (but no syrup -- yet!).

Blanden, I bet that as your blueberry "mess" grew, not only were Ella and Belle smiling bigger and bigger and bigger smiles, but so were mommy and dad! And, wait until papa hears that you can now eat cakes, well yes, he will have to restrain himself when he realizes that it is pancakes, with out syrup, not to mention his kind of cake, being a bakers cake, loaded with lots and lots of frosting. From the pictures, you look like you were enjoying the new taste treat, what did you like better the berries or the cake part?
Later today, when you and dad have "boys club", be sure and tell him that grammy will also be pulling for Missouri during the NCAA basketball tournament, well that is unless by some chance they end up playing mommy, Uncle Andrew's and Grammys school, Michigan State!
Love you, grammy
