Happy Easter!

Blanden posing for the requisite holiday photo.
Checking out his Easter basket. The Easter grass was just as exciting, if not more so, than the goodies to be found in it!

Practicing talking to Grammy and Papa on the phone they sent him for Easter.
Good morning!
Blanden woke up today to a basket full of Easter goodies, including three new touch-and-feel and lift-the-flap books (good call, Easter Bunny! As Blanden loves to read stories and Mommy and Daddy appreciate the added variety. :) ); his first large-piece puzzle; a hip-hop CD for kids (As you know, Blanden also loves music, and does it get any better than "You Gotta Be Me" -- or, as Daddy sings, "You Gotta Be B!" -- by Secret Agent 23 Skidoo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_WJxh5X4HU); and a Thomas the Tank Engine ball, in addition to a goody bag sent by Grammy and Papa.
Of course, it's a good thing we took a picture of the ball already. While we were watching Blanden open his gift from Grammy and Papa, we caught sight of Belle sneaking off to a corner. The next thing we knew, we heard a pop! Ah well, it's probably a fair trade since we've been making Belle share her racquet balls with Blanden over the past few days. (Don't worry, we wash them off first!)
Blanden is now enjoying one of his hard-boiled decorated eggs (yolk only) for lunch. If the weather holds out, we are going down to the Springs for the Wensuc family Easter celebration this afternoon. But it is currently snowing heavily in Monument and the Springs, with 8 inches expected, so we will see. Stay tuned...

HAPPY EASTER BLANDEN!

Sorry to hear that your new ball is already popped, but you know what when I am with you next week (yes, a week from tomorrow, I get to come and visit again), we'll pick out a new one, it will probably be hard to find another Thomas the Tank one, we'll just have to see what we can find. And, when you have the time, I want you practice talking on your play phone, because it won't be long before you and I can have real chats, on real phones! Papa and I just realized that on our old fashion "land line phone", (your parents will have to explain that to you, when your a bit older), we have unlimited anytime of the day, long distance calling! So, I'll call you, and we can talk, talk and talk somemore.
What would you like to do next week? I am hoping for a few walks to the park, so you can show me where the little guy swings are, and I can learn to push you just right, not to high, not to low, not to fast, and not to slow, but just right. You have new books we can read, plus, guess what? Momma and Dad are going for a date, which means you and I will be on our own, what do you think we can do together? Be thinking of some fun ideas, okay? As I look at your blog pictures, you have changed so much since I saw you in Florida, I can just hardly wait to have Blanden time again.
Love you, see you soon,
Grammy
