New Toys

It's almost been two weeks already since Blanden's birthday. He has been trying out some of his new toys...

A wagon (with the really big wheels, like Dad likes!) from Grandpa and Grandma Wensec. We are all set for our next trip to the zoo, picnics to the park, festivals downtown, the pumpkin patch this fall, etc., etc. -- the possibilities are endless!

A shape sorter from Uncle Andrew and Aunt Jill. (As you can see, all the shapes are currently missing from the sorter. We need to work on putting the shapes back on, not just taking them off. :) But he loves playing with it!)

A sandbox (complete with dumptruck and crane) from cousins Jeremy and Gretchen -- this is going to be a big hit this summer! (And, no, despite all of my attempts at coordinating Blanden's outfits with his activities, I didn't actually plan this one -- but he sure looks darn cute in all the blue and green!)

And just another photo of my three "little ones" playing in the backyard this afternoon. Blanden is learning how to throw Belle's ball for her. He (and she) thinks it's great fun. Although Belle looks forward to the day when he can throw a bit farther -- currently about 1 foot in distance -- she will take the playmate!

In other news, Grammy's fantastic two-week visit came to an end this afternoon, and we were very sad to see her go, but so grateful for all the time we've spent together (and for her invaluable help!). But Blanden and Mommy are very much looking forward to seeing her again (and Papa and Uncle Andrew and Aunt Jill!) just one month from today!
