Day 3 with Grammy and Papa

One more picnic lunch before the weather turned, this time at Einstein Bros. Bagels on Sunday. Afterward they walked to Albertson's and KMart for assorted groceries and other sundries.

It's a good thing they fit their walks and picnics in while they could. After eighties and sunshine all weekend, the weather plummeted to the fifties and rain on Monday and Tuesday -- even snow in the mountains, which Ed and I had just driven through!

Serenading Grammy and Papa. Perhaps getting back in tune for Monday night...

At the local dog park Sunday evening.

By the time Ed and I got home Sunday night, Blanden was snuggled safe and sound and cozy in his crib, looking just like this, except for having his PJs on instead. Thank you so much, Mom and Dad, for allowing us to take a little getaway to celebrate our anniversary, and especially for taking such extraordinary and careful care of our precious baby boy. What wonderful memories we will all treasure. I wonder, is it too early to start planning for next year? ... :)

Grandparent Camp,

Sweetie, Grammy isn't going to post a comment for each day of our wonderful weekend together, because the three of us KNOW for certain that we had a great time, and I think Momma and Dad are convienced too.

As I write, I think I hear you starting to wake up from your morning nap, momma just headed up stairs to rescue you, we know that she has all the tricks down for getting you to sleep, but you might want to remind her that you also like to "sing along with" The Farmer in the Dell".

As for planning our next time "private" time together, what about you, but papa and I are definately in! So tell the folks, to go ahead and think about their next adult get away. Just between us, we have already been giving that idea some thought...perhaps they'll want a little winter get away.

We only have two days left here at your house, hopefully the weather will improve enough that we can go on another stroller adventure, papa and I already had our next one mapped out!

Love,
Grammie
