Missing Daddy

Well, we obviously stopped posting after Daddy's arrival. We were simply too busy having a great time. Wednesday we prepped for Thanksgiving by cooking up a storm: pies and cinnamon rolls from Grammy and carrot soup from Daddy, and then celebrated Uncle Andrew's birthday. Thursday was spent in leisure: watching the Macy's Parade and football and then lingering over a delicious dinner that night. Friday was fun: we took a family photo, courtesy of our resident photographer, visited the deer at Aunt Jill's family farm in the afternoon, then trekked to the Toledo Zoo to see the Christmas lights with Aunt Jill's family and then went out to a late dinner together that evening.

Today we've had a change of plans. Although this Thanksgiving holiday has been wonderfully relaxing, I am still not feeling well at all. And so especially with a big work week up ahead, at the last minute this morning we decided to extend my and Blanden's stay for one more week so that I can (hopefully!) get well and Grammy and Papa can help with Blanden while I work. Although Blanden and I are grateful for the extra time with our Michigan family, sadly Daddy wasn't able to stay too and had to leave this afternoon as scheduled. But we promised to post a photo to the blog every day for him, so here are a few. The most exciting thing to happen this evening was bath time -- which, considering the usual nighttime ritual hasn't happened for four nights, was actually pretty exciting. :-)

Practicing blowing bubbles.

With a bubble mustache.

Blanden loves to fill up the cups and pour the water on himself.

And he learned how to stop and start the drain.

We miss you very much already, Ed!
