The Weekend

Our weekend was filled with various fun activities, as weekends often are. Little Ellis is beginning to enjoy his playmat -- with some help from his big brother, who is always nearby.

But Ellis's favorite activity is still to spend hours sleeping in the cozy swing.

Grammy brought Play Dough for Blanden!

And a giraffe cookie cutter!

This was Blanden's first experience with Play Dough and he had so much fun.

Although you can't see it here, they made several giraffes (and trees for the giraffes to eat), which Blanden promptly hugged. :)

On Saturday morning, while Blanden napped and went on various boys' club errands with Daddy, Grammy, Mommy, and Ellis walked to the Cherry Creek farmers' market.
Where we had lunch and picked up a few items for dinner, while Blanden and Daddy took care of the rest.

Here are Blanden and Ellis enjoying more time together on the playmat.

And look -- Grammy caught the tail end (or beginning) of one of Ellis's charming smiles!

Sunday morning, we made homemade blueberry pancakes (just like Curious George does in one of Blanden's books).

And Sunday evening found us back at City Park Jazz...
Picnicking together. :)
