Hard to believe, but Ellis is nine months old today! As Grammy would say, he has now been out as long as he was in!
He has a bit of a cold but is otherwise in good spirits. Lately, he most enjoys playing with his voice, especially when Big Brother mimics him in response. Last week while we were having lunch in the museum, he discovered the echo and thought that was great fun. He can almost sit up on his own without weebling and wobbling over to the side. He's not a big fan of tummy time so he has no idea that crawling is on the horizon -- and that's a-okay with us. There will be plenty of time for that later. For now, he is still content to sit in his bouncy seat (although he flaps his arms and rocks the seat back and forth so much that he looks like a baby bird who wants to take off), play in his ExerSaucer, and sit on Mommy and Daddy's lap. And I've already mentioned how many teeth he has! He loves to show them off with big smiles.
This morning, he got to try yogurt for the first time. So far, he's not a fan, but we'll see.
Happy nine-month birthday, little man!
