Much to Belle's delight, Blanden, Ellis, Daddy, and Mommy took her out yesterday and today to play ball in the local abandoned-tennis-courts-turned-neighborhood-dog-park. Blanden enjoyed playing with the ChuckIt -- he meticulously placed each ball inside of it, then counted, "One, two, three, GO!" and tried to release the ball. Alas, he wasn't quite strong enough, so then he would pull the ball out, throw it by hand, and repeat the process all over again. Ellis was quite entertained by the whole process, and Belle was just happy to be outside and playing her favorite game -- even if the ball did only go 10 feet. It was so warm today that we promptly took off our jackets the moment we got home and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon/early evening on the patio.
What a lovely weekend. We haven't had much of a winter here in Colorado this year -- although there is still a chance we could get one (March and April are our wettest months, and the moisture usually comes in the form of snow). But in the meantime, we'll take it like this!
(*Rest assured Ella is spending a lot of time outside too, but she has no tolerance for the frivolity of chasing tennis balls. She prefers squirrels, and there are plenty of those in our own backyard.)
