Day Three -- Change of Plans

Getting to know Uncle Andrew and Mommy's honorary big sister, Mary.
Meeting Mrs. Mercer.

Unfortunately Papa's cold has taken a turn for the worse, so today we moved over to Uncle Andrew and Aunt Jill's house, a little earlier than scheduled. (We had planned on coming over to stay here when Daddy arrives on Thursday through the rest of the vacation.) Papa is now on strong antibiotics, so hopefully he'll be healthy again and ready to play with me soon. We're wishing you well, Papa!
This evening Uncle Andrew and Mommy met with a family friend to complete their class requirements and preparations for my baptism on Sunday. Grammy took the opportunity to hang out with me while Aunt Jill was at work, then we all had dinner together when everyone came home.
This evening I was also lucky enough to meet for the first time two of my Raymond family's very dear friends and neighbors. Mommy met them 30 years ago in December, when she was only 1 1/2 years old, when Grammy and Papa moved in next-door to the Mercers. Mr. and Mrs. Mercer have been like surrogate parents to Mommy and Uncle Andrew all these years, and Mommy and Uncle Andrew have many, many fond memories of running across the field between their two houses to play and of being babysat by their "big sister" Mary...
Just an FYI: You can tell that Daddy is the photographer in my family, not just by the quality of the photos he usually posts, but by the lack of number in the photos Mommy took today -- only two! Mommy vows to do better tomorrow. :)
