On this gorgeous, sunny, 50-degree winter day in Denver, it was time to head outside, and what better place to go than the zoo?
The first big stop was, of course, to see the giraffes. Here you can see some of the giraffes in the background, and Blanden is pointing to some more on the other side of their enclosure.
Giving a statue of a bear a big hug.
Mommy and Blanden on the way to see the sea lions.
For some reason, Dad, the sea lions always remind me of you. Probably because they like nothing more than to play in the water and soak up the sun. ;)
Riding the carousel -- always a favorite.
And visiting the elephants before heading home. What a wonderful day to visit the zoo. The weather was plenty warm enough for all of us to be outside, but cool enough for many of the animals to be more active than we often see them in the summertime. We even saw the new baby zebra, born in November, in an enclosure with his two parents. Such fun!
